Bloomington, Minnesota- Brad Schloesser, Dean of the Southern Minnesota Center of Agriculture, was awarded the Post-Secondary Educator of the Year award by the Minnesota Farm Bureau at their annual meeting and banquet on Friday, November 21st. brad-schloesser-farmbureau

Brad Schloesser was nominated by Le Sueur County Farm Bureau for his contributions to agricultural education at the collegiate level. The award recognizes a post-secondary agricultural educator for their leadership in agriculture, service to agriculture, promotion of agricultural education and production agriculture as well as their committment to their own county Farm Bureau.

Brad began teaching at South Central College in 1992, prior to accepting the position as Dean of the Southern Minnesota Center of Agriculture. He has also served on many boards and committees focused on education in agriculture including the MN FFA Foundation, CASE National Advisory Task Force and the MN Association of Agricultural Educators. Brad is a member of Le Sueur County Farm Bureau, and has helped cross-promote many of the events Farm Bureau puts on such as Breakfast on the Farm and the Rural Legislative Forum with students, community members and other business professionals. 

Congratulations to Brad for receiving recognition for his service to agriculture.
