The 2016 Rural Legislative Forum is scheduled for Thursday, December 8th from 4pm-8:00pm at South Central College in North Mankato, Minnesota.
The forum topic for this year is "Rapidly Rising Property Taxes...Challenging Rural Minnesota" and includes keynote speaker, Eric Willette, Property Tax Research Director at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. Following his keynote, a response panel including Bob Meyer, Blue Earth County Administrator, Kevin Paap, President of the Minnesota Farm Bureau, Kirk Schneidawind, Executive Director of the Minnesota School Board Association, and Tom Warmka, Faribault County Commissioner will commence. A pork chop dinner and legislative panel with area participating state legislators will conclude the evening.

Forum sponsors include: Minnesota Farm Bureau, South Central College's Agribusiness Department, Southern MN Center of Agriculture Farm Business Management Program, Region 9 Development Commission and University of Minnesota Extension.
This is an annual event held every year at South Central College in the first part of December.
