The 2016 Ag Tax Seminar is a one-day seminar held at South Central College in North Mankato on Tuesday, October 18th from 8:30am-4:30pm. Check-in begins at 8am. 

University of Wisconsin professor and tax attorney Phil Harris will speak on various farm income tax return issues such as: tax mdoels and strategies to lower SE tax liabilities, deposits versus prepay, partnership formation and contirbuted assets iwth debt in excess of tax basis, ownership transition strategies, capitlization of fertilization and Section 180, and negative cash balanes. Harris currently is the co-author of the National Income Tax Workbook that is used by over 30,000 tax pracitioners in the United States, and author of the annual Agricultural Tax Issues. He speaks throughout the nation on agricultural tax issues. 

This seminar is geared towards tax advisors (7 CPE Credits), bankers and related staff, lawyers, investment advisors and others who need to know current and cuture agriculture tax laws.

Cost of the seminar is $175.00 and includes a copy of the 2016 Agriculture Tax Workbook. Lunch is on your own.
