CASE, Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education, is a national curriculum utilizing science inquiry for lesson foundations.
The CASE Institute, a 10 day professional development seminar, is held twice during the summer months through South Central College in North Mankato, Minnesota. The sessions are open to all agricultural, science and math educators throughout the United States.
Once a teacher completes the CASE Institute, they receive a certification in that program offering. Many agriculture education positions are now requiring or preferring CASE certification.
South Central College offers a unique partnership with New Sweden Dairy and the Davis Family Dairies to have the first part of each institute at the University of Minnesota Dairy Education Center, providing hands-on learning in the middle of modern agriculture.
